Osteopathy
Focuses on the individual client and is based on the understanding between structure and function. Skilled assessment and osteopathic techniques treat the individual client, restoring and improving physiological function of interrelated body structures and systems, and enhancing the body’s natural healing abilities.
Osteopathic Treatment
Your Osteopathic Manual Practitioner will use various assessments and hand on techniques to free soft tissue restrictions; help with joint mobility easing pain and discomfort; treat the cranium, spine and sacrum; treat the organs and viscera, all with gentle pressure and in relationship to other body structures; reduce swelling and promote function and healing in clients of any age.
Osteopathic Principles:
The structure of the body supports the function of the body.
The natural flow of body fluids (lymphatic, vascular and neurological) must be maintained.
The human body is a sum of its parts functioning as a whole, including the physical, mental/emotional and spiritual.
The non-restricted body has an inherent ability to heal itself.
